CBS orders Bruckheimer pilot
CBS has collared a Jerry Bruckheimer TV pilot, giving a greenlight to a drama about a mother-turned-N.Y. state trooper. Warner Bros. TV's "Trooper" was penned by Aron Eli Coleite ("Heroes"). Law enforcement vehicle turns on a woman whose common-sense approach to police work. Coleite exec produces with Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman. Bruckheimer TV's KristieAnne Reed serves as co-exec producer. "Trooper" marks Bruckheimer TV's first formal pilot greenlight of the season, though the WBTV-based shingle has big commitments from NBC for a 1980s-set wrestling drama and from ABC for a Navy SEALs drama.
